DbClone is a product of

DbClone is installed on any Unix server (Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Linux) running Oracle9i or Oracle8i Enterprise version and co-exists with other databases and applications. It needs minimal server resources and performs well even on a low-end UNIX Server or Work stations. A single installation of DbClone is needed to clone Oracle databases on multiple hosts accessible on network. No additional software installation is required on any other Unix servers needing Oracle databases cloning. DbClone has a Web Browser based Java Console and operates securely from any remote workstation connected to the network.

Hardware and Software requirements for DbClone are provided below:

Minimum System Requirements
Oracle Version Separate installed of Enterprise Edition 9i or 8.1.7
UNIX Server Sun Solaris 6, 8 or 9, IBM AIX 4.3 or 5, HP-UX 11.0, Linux .8.0 or later, Apache 1.3 or later and JDK 1.4.1, and 3.5 GB of Disk Space
Client Workstation PC/Workstation 433 MHz, with 128 MB RAM, 3 GB disk space, SVGA Display set at Resolution 1024 X 768, and network interface

Internet Browsers

 

Microsoft Windows 98/2000/XP, I Explorer 6, Netscape Navigator 6 or later with Java Plug-in 1.4.1 or later

 

DbClone Console
Internet-Browser-Based Java Console requires browsers with Java plug-in (JVM 1.4.1) For optimum performance of DbClone console. Currently uses:

·         Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 or later version.

·         Netscape Navigator 7 or later version( to be supported soon)

·         SVGA Display Resolution set at 1024X768

 

DbClone Server Platform

DbClone doesn't need a dedicated server, and co-exists to share resources with other applications and databases running on any 32 bit or 64 bit Unix servers. It is recommended that DbClone be installed in a separate Oracle home.

 

Server Operating Systems:

·         Sun Solaris 5.6 or later version.

·         IBM AIX 4.3 or later version.

·         HP-UX 11.0 or later version.

·         LINUX-REDHAT 7.2 or later version.

 

Apache and Oracle Servers

·         Oracle 9i or 8.1.7 Enterprise Version( with Apache support).

·         Unix Processor 200Mhz or higher for Unix Servers.

·         RAM 512MB.

·         Disk Space 6.5GB.

 

Server Resources for Oracle Instance: 

SGA Size 50 MB, 50 Processes, Database Size 200 MB, /tmp size 200 MB
